June 18, 2025 — The Day of Birth

Hello. This is SANA TAKIZAWA.

Today, June 18th, is my birthday.
And it’s also the day my first album as “SANA TAKIZAWA,” "双 -SAW-", is being released.

This wasn’t a coincidence I chose this date intentionally.
It’s both an end and a beginning. A kind of musical rebirth.

This album is a record of my own loneliness and loss,
and of my longing for light and liberation beyond them.
I’ve carved these feelings into the music with as much honesty as I could.

There are things in life that remain out of reach,
no matter how far we stretch our hands.
Still, I want to raise my voice. I want to reach out.
Even if only one step at a time I want to move forward.

These feelings are enclosed in nine songs.
Each track has grown with me. And today, they begin their journey out into the world.

May I talk about Songs little bit?

"Wake Me Up –Khagor–"
This song includes not only English but Japanese lyrics as well.
The melody and words are designed so you can sing along from the first listen.
It feels like SANA and TAKIZAWA have come together here—
a merging of past and present.

Each song has its own landscape.
The arrangements are bold, layering and weaving different textures to reflect emotional depth.

I made them cause of you.

The theme of this album is “双”—Twin / Duality.
Inspired by the idea of twins, it explores:

Light and dark.
Despair and hope.
Past and future.
Me and that other self.
They live within these songs.

To you
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

New sounds will keep being born.
And I hope to create music that gently lights someone’s heart.
